Best FishHawk, FL Moving Company

FishHawk is a large master-planned community in southeast Hillsborough County, built around FishHawk Ranch and bordered by the Alafia River to the north and Boyette Road to the south. Its population has grown from under 2,000 to more than 26,000 as the ranch filled in, and Park Square, the town center, sits right in the middle of it all. Our Tampa crew handles moves all over FishHawk Ranch, FishHawk Ranch West, and the newer neighborhoods off Lithia Pinecrest Road.

FishHawk Ranch is made up of dozens of separate villages, from Garden District to Starling, each with its own HOA and community development district rules. That means rules on truck parking, move hours, and how long a storage container can stay in the driveway. Some sections, like Bayberry Glen and Kinglet Ridge, are gated, so we set up gate access before moving day. We also keep trucks off the grass and clear of the trails and sidewalks that run all through the neighborhoods.

Homes here run from townhouses and cottages to big two-story houses with pools and three-car garages, and the median home value is well over half a million dollars. Larger homes mean more rooms, more furniture, and often a piano or a home gym to move. We bring enough crew and padding for the job, protect floors and stair rails, and take apart and set back up beds, dining tables, and outdoor furniture. Many garages here are full, too, so we can pack and load those as well.

Families move to FishHawk for the schools, the trails, and the parks, and many work in Tampa or Brandon. With an average commute of close to 40 minutes, we plan around morning traffic on FishHawk Boulevard and Lithia Pinecrest Road. Newsome High School and Randall Middle School sit right on FishHawk Boulevard, so we plan around school drop-off too. Summer heat and afternoon storms are part of the plan too, so we start early and wrap everything well. If your closing dates do not line up, we offer short-term storage between homes.

We also serve nearby Riverview, Bloomingdale, and Valrico, just across the Alafia River. Whether you are moving up to a bigger FishHawk home or downsizing out of one, we are happy to help. Family-owned since 2015, A & M Friendly Movers treats every FishHawk move like we are helping our own neighbors. Our mission is simple: quality, professional service at a fair price. Home is where the heart is, and moving is where it starts. Call 813-544-0048 for a free quote.

“Excellent experience! We have moved 11 times and once overseas and A&M is in the top two moves! They communicate well and there are no curveballs. Chris, Zack & “Ox” were hard working, courteous and professional. They moved us quickly and took great care with our property. When initially speaking with Matt, he realized I was a Veteran and he immediately offered a Veteran’s discount. I would highly recommend A&M Friendly Movers because they live their name!”

Moving in FishHawk: Local Tips From Our Crew

Parking, trash pickup, traffic and building rules can make or break moving day in FishHawk. Here’s what we plan around.

Confirm your village's rules

FishHawk is part of a Community Development District, and each village and subdivision has its own designation. Check your HOA or CDD rules on move hours and truck parking before move day, and send them to us.

Work around school traffic

About 60% of FishHawk households have children, and the area is served by Newsome High, Barrington and Randall middle schools, and five elementary schools. We avoid scheduling truck arrivals during school drop-off and pickup.

Allow time crossing the Alafia

The Alafia River separates FishHawk from Valrico and Bloomingdale to the north, so moves in that direction funnel onto a few river crossings. We build that into our timing.

Book bulky pickup first

FishHawk is unincorporated, so Hillsborough County handles trash. Call (813) 272-5680 to schedule a special curbside pickup for furniture or appliances before you put them out, and note that 20 cardboard boxes count as one item.

Respect curb-time windows

County carts and yard waste go out no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before collection and no later than 6 a.m. on collection day, so don’t stage move-out piles early.

What Shapes Your FishHawk Move Cost

No surprises. Here is exactly what goes into your quote, so you can plan with confidence.

Home Size

How many rooms and how much furniture. A condo and a four-bedroom house are very different jobs.

Distance

Across town, across Hillsborough County, or out of state. Local moves are hourly; long-distance moves are priced upfront.

Access

HOA and gate rules, long driveways at larger two-story homes, and morning traffic on FishHawk Boulevard and Lithia Pinecrest Road affect move time here.

Add-Ons

Packing, storage, furniture assembly, and heavy items like pianos and safes.
