Local Moving FAQs
Local moves are billed hourly in 15-minute increments with a 3-hour minimum. The clock starts when our crew arrives at your home, not when we leave the office, and stops when we finish at your final destination. Disassembly, reassembly, and wrapping and padding all of your furniture are included at no additional cost. Your total depends on how much you’re moving, stairs or long carries, specialty items like pianos or safes, and your date. Call your local office for a free quote. An owner or our office calls back within 15 minutes, 8am–8pm.
For most families, yes. You skip the lifting, driving, fuel and truck return, your furniture gets padded and wrapped, and a trained crew finishes in a fraction of the time. Add up truck rental, supplies and a lost weekend, and a crew often costs less than people expect.
Our own crews: background-checked, drug-tested W-2 employees, never subcontractors.
For May through September, or any end-of-month date, book 3–4 weeks out. Off-season weekdays can often be booked with a few days’ notice. There’s never a rescheduling fee, for any reason.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, personal checks and certified checks (no cash). A $100 deposit holds your date and goes toward your move.
