How Our Estimates Work

Local moves are billed by the hour. The clock starts when the crew arrives and runs in 15-minute increments. Long-distance moves get a binding quote based on the size of your move and the distance, so you know the price before moving day.

Local Moving Rates

• 2 movers and 1 truck: $150 per hour
• 3 movers and 1 truck: $225 per hour
• 4 movers and 2 trucks: $300 per hour
• 5 movers and 2 trucks: $375 per hour

What Changes the Price

• The size of your home and the amount of furniture
• Stairs, elevators and long walks from the door to the truck
• The distance between the two addresses
• Packing and unpacking help
• Heavy or special items

Local Moves and Long-Distance Moves

A local move stays in one area, and the hourly rate covers the crew and the truck. A long-distance move crosses city or state lines, so we quote it as a whole job. Tell us which kind you have, and we will explain how the price is built.

Tips for the Most Accurate Estimate

• List your largest items first, such as beds, sofas, dressers and appliances.
• Tell us about stairs, elevators and long walks from the door to the truck at both addresses.
• Tell us if you want packing and unpacking.
• Mention fragile or very heavy items, such as a piano or a safe.
• Give us your move date, and tell us if the date can change.
