Best Brandon, FL Moving Company
Brandon is one of the largest communities in Hillsborough County, even though it is not a city. It is an unincorporated area about 11 miles east of downtown Tampa, and more than 120,000 people call it home. Our Tampa crew works in Brandon every week, from the older streets near Kings Avenue and Parsons Avenue to the subdivisions off Lumsden Road and Providence Road. Because Brandon is so spread out, one move might be a short hop across Lumsden Road and the next a trip north toward I-4.
Brandon has a little of everything. Near Brandon High School you will find single-story block homes on streets shaded by big oaks. South Brandon has deed-restricted neighborhoods like Providence Lakes, many with HOA rules. Along Brandon Boulevard (State Road 60) there are plenty of apartment and townhome communities, which often mean stairs, shared parking lots and a longer walk from the truck to your door. Many homes here have tile floors and sliding glass doors that open to a lanai or pool cage, so we pad door frames and lay down floor protection before the first box goes out.
Traffic is the big thing to plan around here. SR 60 near Brandon Exchange, the mall many locals still call Westfield Brandon, backs up at rush hour and on weekends, and the I-75 interchange can slow things down at any time. We like early starts, which also beat the summer heat and the afternoon thunderstorms that roll through most days from June to September. We wrap furniture and cover floors so a sudden storm does not ruin anything. If you are moving on a weekend, plan extra time around Brandon Exchange, where shopping traffic can fill the roads by late morning.
Many Brandon moves are families moving up to a bigger house or empty nesters moving into something smaller. We handle packing and unpacking, take apart and set up beds and tables, and can help when closing dates do not line up. Before moving day, check your HOA or apartment rules for truck parking and move hours, and send us any gate codes. If you are renting, we can pack and load quickly so you can clean up and turn in your keys on time.
We also move families in nearby Valrico, Riverview and Seffner. Whether you are heading across town or across the country, we will give you a clear plan before moving day. Family-owned since 2015, A & M Friendly Movers treats every Brandon move like we are helping our own neighbors. Our mission is simple: quality, professional service at a fair price. Home is where the heart is, and moving is where it starts. Call 813-544-0048 for a free quote.

“Excellent experience! We have moved 11 times and once overseas and A&M is in the top two moves! They communicate well and there are no curveballs. Chris, Zack & “Ox” were hard working, courteous and professional. They moved us quickly and took great care with our property. When initially speaking with Matt, he realized I was a Veteran and he immediately offered a Veteran’s discount. I would highly recommend A&M Friendly Movers because they live their name!”

Moving in Brandon: Local Tips From Our Crew
Parking, trash pickup, traffic and building rules can make or break moving day in Brandon. Here’s what we plan around.
Bulky Item Pickup
Brandon is unincorporated, so trash service comes from Hillsborough County. Bulky items like sofas, mattresses, and appliances need a fee-based special curbside pickup, which you must schedule with Solid Waste Customer Service at (813) 272-5680 before putting anything at the curb.
Moving Box Disposal
Leftover moving boxes count as bulky waste in Hillsborough County (20 boxes = 1 item on a special pickup), so flatten them and recycle or schedule them with your bulky pickup.
Trash Day Timing
Regular carts and yard waste go to the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before collection and by 6 a.m. on collection day. Don’t leave piles out early on move-out day.
Traffic & Routes
State Road 60 (Brandon Boulevard) and I-75 exits 256 (Selmon Expressway) and 257 (SR 60) are Brandon’s busiest access points, and I-4 is 4 miles north, so we time truck routes to miss rush hour.
Weather & HOAs
Brandon summers are long and hot (about 85°F on average) with around 44 inches of rain a year, and hurricane season runs June 1–Nov 30. Early starts and flexible dates help, and most HOAs in the area expect notice before a moving truck arrives.
What Shapes Your Brandon Move Cost
No surprises. Here is exactly what goes into your quote, so you can plan with confidence.
Home Size
How many rooms and how much furniture. A condo and a four-bedroom house are very different jobs.
Distance
Across town, across Hillsborough County, or out of state. Local moves are hourly; long-distance moves are priced upfront.
Access
Heavy traffic on SR 60 and I-75, apartment stairs, HOA rules on truck parking and summer afternoon storms have the biggest effect on move time in Brandon.
Add-Ons
Packing, storage, furniture assembly, and heavy items like pianos and safes.
