They took their time, unloaded everything carefully, arranged bins, and boxes in our garage for us. Moved heavy items into the kitchen and into the house. They set up our hutch in the dining room. Call ahead for bulky pickup
The city collects furniture, appliances and other bulky items on an as-needed basis. Call the Sanitation Division at 843-280-5500 before you put anything at the street.
Carts out by 7 a.m.
Trash, recycling and yard waste go out the same day each week based on your route (Beachfront, North, Central or South). Set everything at the street by 7:00 a.m., with recyclables like cardboard loose in the cart, not bagged.
Use the transfer station
Residents can bring extra bagged garbage, recyclables and yard waste to the Solid Waste Transfer Station at 1220 2nd Avenue S, open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to noon on weekends. It does not accept contractor waste.
Time your parking
Park North Myrtle Beach lots are free from 5 to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to midnight, and free all day from November through February. City lots are closed from midnight to 5 a.m.
Register for resident parking
New North Myrtle Beach residents and non-resident property owners need to register every year for a parking permit. Your license plate serves as the permit, and you can register online or at 904 2nd Avenue North.
