Friends get busy, and a borrowed pickup does not come with blankets, dollies, or anyone who knows how to take a door off its hinges.
A & M Friendly Movers handles small moves and single items with the same care we give every job. Our crews are background-checked, drug-tested W-2 employees, never day laborers. They pad and protect your pieces, carry them safely through tight halls and stairways, and set them where you want them. Local moves are priced hourly by crew size, so a small job gets a crew sized for a small job.

A Few Pieces
A couch, a bed, a table and chairs, or a handful of boxes. We pad and wrap each piece, carry it out safely, and set it in place at the new location. Good for first apartments, dorm rooms, and helping family members.
One Room at a Time
Moving a single bedroom, home office, or nursery? We can move one room of furniture and boxes, including taking apart and putting back together beds, cribs, and desks, so the room is set up and ready to use.
One Heavy Item
Some pieces are simply too heavy or awkward to move alone. We move single heavy items like armoires, dressers, and appliances. Appliances must be disconnected before we arrive. Tell us about stairs or tight turns so we plan correctly.
Store and Marketplace Pickups
Bought something from a store, an online marketplace, or an estate sale? We can pick it up and deliver it to your home, carry it inside, and place it where you want it, so you do not need to find a truck.

Local moves are priced hourly by crew size, so the price depends on how many items you have, how far they are going, and things like stairs. Call 717-434-6711 or request a free estimate, and an owner or our office will call you back within 15 minutes between 8am and 8pm. Local moves are billed hourly in 15-minute increments with a 3-hour minimum. The clock starts when our crew arrives at your home, not when we leave the office, and stops when we finish at your final destination. Disassembly, reassembly, and wrapping and padding all of your furniture are included at no additional cost.

Clear a path from the item to the door, empty drawers on dressers and desks, and pack any loose items in boxes. Appliances need to be disconnected before we arrive. If parking is tight at either address, let us know ahead of time so the crew can plan.
Yes. We offer furniture delivery for pieces bought from a store, an online marketplace, or an estate sale. We pick it up, protect it on the truck, and carry it into your home. Share the pickup address and any details from the seller when you call.
We take a $100 deposit when you book, applied to your move. Local and hourly jobs are paid at the end of the day by credit or debit card, personal check, or certified check. We do not accept cash, and we never charge a rescheduling fee.
