The ground rules for using our website and booking with A & M Friendly Movers.
Agreement

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of amfriendlymovers.com (the “Website”) and to services you book with A & M Friendly Movers (“A & M,” “we,” “us”). By using the Website or booking with us, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Website.
For your move, your written estimate, Bill of Lading and any other paperwork you sign with us control. If anything on this page conflicts with those documents, the signed documents apply.
Estimates and Pricing
- Local moves are billed hourly in 15-minute increments with a 3-hour minimum. Time starts when our crew arrives at your home, not when we leave our office, and ends when we finish at your final destination.
- Disassembly, reassembly, and wrapping and padding your furniture are included at no extra cost on local moves.
- Long-distance moves are priced with a binding estimate. Once booked, we do not change the price.
- Prices and availability shown on the Website are for general information and can change. Your written estimate is your price.
Booking, Deposits and Payment
- A $100 deposit is due at booking and is applied toward your move.
- We accept credit cards, debit cards, personal checks and certified checks. We do not accept cash.
- Local moves are paid after the move is complete. Long-distance moves are paid after loading.
- Box and supply orders are paid by card when our office calls to confirm your order.
Rescheduling
Plans change. We never charge a rescheduling fee. Please call 717-434-6711 as early as you can so we can find you a new date.
Your Responsibilities
- Be present, or have an adult you authorize present, from the first walkthrough to the final check.
- Tell us about stairs, elevators, long walks, parking limits or building rules ahead of time. We provide certificates of insurance for buildings at no charge.
- Complete your pre-existing damage report before moving day.
- Disconnect appliances before we arrive, and empty and defrost refrigerators and freezers.
- Keep jewelry, cash, important documents, medications and other valuables with you.
Items We Can't Move
For safety, and under the rules that govern movers, we cannot transport hazardous materials. That includes gasoline and other fuels, propane tanks, paint and paint thinner, pool chemicals, fireworks, ammunition and other flammable, explosive or corrosive items. We also recommend you move perishable food, live plants and pets yourself. If you’re unsure about an item, ask us before moving day.
Damage, Coverage and Claims
How your belongings are protected depends on the coverage you choose. See Coverage Options and our Insurance Claim Policy. Please report damage within 7 days. This does not shorten any time you have to file a claim under state or federal law.
Box and Supply Orders
Supply orders placed through our Box Shop are delivered once a week to addresses within 30 miles of our offices, and the delivery fee is $50. Our office confirms your order and final total by phone before delivery.
Text Messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send appointment reminders, follow-ups and billing messages. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Using Our Website
- Use the Website only for lawful purposes. Don’t attempt to disrupt it, access it without permission, or copy it for commercial use.
- The text, photos, logos and other content on the Website belong to A & M Friendly Movers or are used with permission. Please don’t copy or reuse them without our written consent.
- We work to keep the Website accurate, but it may contain errors or outdated information. The Website is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, A & M Friendly Movers is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website. Our liability for your belongings during a move is set by your signed moving documents, the coverage option you choose, and applicable state and federal law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where your services are performed, and by federal law for interstate moves. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
