Our crews are background-checked, drug-tested W-2 employees, never day laborers or subcontractors. They know how to stack a load so it rides well, protect your furniture, and use every foot of space you paid for. On the other end, they carry everything in and place it where you want it.

When you call, you reach an owner or our office, not a call center. Quote requests get a call back within 15 minutes between 8am and 8pm. If something goes wrong, you have a direct line to the people who run the company. That is how a family business should work, and it is how we run ours.
Protection if Something Happens
A & M Friendly Movers is fully insured. Under our Owner’s Promise, if anything is damaged, an owner calls you the same day, and claims are resolved in 60 to 90 days. You are not left chasing a faceless company for answers. We stand behind every job our crews do.
Plans Change Without Penalty
Truck rentals and container drop-offs do not always land on the day you planned. If you need to move your date, we never charge a rescheduling fee, for any reason. Just call us and we will work out a new time that fits your schedule.
What Our Loading & Unloading Help Includes
Rental Truck Loading
You rent the truck and we load it. Our crew pads furniture, stacks boxes in tight tiers, and secures the load so it rides well. When you arrive at your new place, we can meet the truck there and unload it too.
PODS and Container Labor
Portable containers need careful packing because they get lifted and carried. We load PODS and other containers as labor only, building a snug, balanced load. When the container is delivered to your new home, we can unload it for you.
Storage Unit Help
Moving into or out of a storage unit is tight, heavy work. Our crew can load your unit so things are easy to reach later, or empty it into your truck or container. Tell us the unit size and what is inside so we plan the right crew.
Furniture Placement
Unloading is more than dropping items at the door. Our crew carries furniture and boxes to the rooms you choose and sets pieces where you want them. We can also take apart and put back together beds, tables, and other large furniture.
Loading & Unloading FAQs
Labor jobs are priced hourly based on the size of the crew. The total depends on how many items you have, how far we carry them, and things like stairs. Call 717-434-6711 or request a free estimate, and an owner or our office will call you back within 15 minutes between 8am and 8pm. Local moves are billed hourly in 15-minute increments with a 3-hour minimum. The clock starts when our crew arrives at your home, not when we leave the office, and stops when we finish at your final destination. Disassembly, reassembly, and wrapping and padding all of your furniture are included at no additional cost.
Not for this service. With loading and unloading help, you provide the rental truck, PODS, or container, and we provide the crew. If you would rather we handle the truck and the driving, ask about our full-service local moving or long-distance moving.
Have your truck or container parked as close to the door as you safely can, with a clear path. Boxes should be packed and taped, and appliances need to be disconnected beforehand. Set aside anything you plan to carry yourself, like medications, keys, and important papers, so it does not get loaded by mistake.
No. For safety, we cannot load paint, propane, fuel, chemicals, or ammunition. Please set those aside before the crew arrives and plan to transport or dispose of them yourself. If you are not sure about an item, ask us when you call and we will let you know.
Yes. If you do not have time to pack, we offer full or partial packing and unpacking. We also sell boxes and moving supplies. Many customers have us pack the kitchen and fragile items, then load everything in the same visit.
We take a $100 deposit when you book, and it is applied to your job. For hourly labor, the balance is paid at the end of the day. We accept credit and debit cards, personal checks, and certified checks. We do not accept cash.
