Leaf and limb pickup is for residents inside city limits only, and you have to call City Hall to request it. Cut limbs shorter than 5 feet and under 6 inches thick.
Loris convenience center
Outside city limits, the county’s Loris center is at 1485 Hwy 9 Business East. It’s open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, but it is closed Wednesdays.
County centers: unincorporated only
Only residents of unincorporated Horry County can use the recycling centers, up to 4 cubic yards a day. The Loris center has a “Store” shed for furniture in good condition.
SC 9 bypasses downtown
SC 9 runs on a bypass around Loris, and SC 9 Business goes through downtown. The through route is usually easier for a truck heading toward Longs and North Myrtle Beach.
