GRAND STRAND HEAVY ITEM MOVERS
Piano, Safe & Hot Tub Moving in Myrtle Beach & the Grand Strand
Heavy, awkward and valuable items moved by trained W-2 crews who plan every step, stair and turn first.
Some things do not belong on a regular moving checklist. A piano headed up the exterior stairs of a stilted house in Garden City. A gun safe going into a new-construction garage in Carolina Forest. A hot tub coming off the back deck of a Pawleys Island home. These moves take planning, the right equipment and a crew that has done it before. Get it wrong and you are looking at damaged floors, a scratched finish or worse.
A & M Friendly Movers moves pianos, gun safes and hot tubs across North Myrtle Beach, Little River, Myrtle Beach, Carolina Forest, Conway, Surfside Beach, Socastee, Murrells Inlet, Garden City, Pawleys Island, Georgetown, Longs and Loris. Our background-checked, drug-tested W-2 crews look at the path first, protect floors and railings, and never rush a heavy lift. We can move these items on their own or as part of a full household move. Tell us about the item and the path when you call so we can plan properly.

Why Grand Strand Families Choose A & M for Piano, Safe & Hot Tub Moves
Path Planned Before Lifting
Every heavy move starts with the route: doorways, turns, steps, grass, sand and slope. Stilted beach houses and elevated decks are common here, so we plan exactly how a piano or safe comes down, and how it goes back up, before anyone lifts. That includes checking railings and landings and planning where the crew will pause to rest.
Hot Tubs Off Decks
Hot tubs are popular at Grand Strand homes and rentals, and they often sit on raised decks or behind fences. We plan the removal path, protect the deck and landscaping, and move the tub to its new spot or into our storage. The tub needs to be drained and disconnected by a qualified person before we arrive.
Gun Safes Handled Securely
Safes are dense, top-heavy and hard on floors. We protect tile, hardwood and garage floors, secure the safe for transport, and set it exactly where you want it. Our crews are background-checked, drug-tested W-2 employees you can trust around it. Let us know the safe’s size and weight when you call so we send the right crew and equipment.
Pianos Treated Like Instruments
Uprights, spinets and grands get padded, strapped and moved with care for the finish and the legs. Coastal humidity is hard on pianos, so we move them efficiently and do not leave them sitting out on an open driveway. Legs, lids and pedals are protected, and the piano is secured properly for the ride.
Condo and Elevator Moves
Moving a piano or safe into an oceanfront condo means working within elevator weight limits, reservations and HOA rules. Share your building’s requirements and we will plan the move and provide a free certificate of insurance if needed. Many buildings also want heavy moves scheduled during set hours, and we plan the crew to arrive ready.
An Owner Stands Behind It
Call and an owner or our office calls you back within 15 minutes, 8am to 8pm. If anything is damaged, an owner calls you the same day, and claims are resolved in 60 to 90 days. That is our Owner’s Promise on every heavy move.
Our Piano, Safe & Hot Tub Moving Services on the Grand Strand
Upright and Grand Pianos
Upright, spinet and grand pianos moved within Horry and Georgetown Counties or as part of a long-distance move. We pad and strap the instrument, protect floors and doorways, and handle stairs on stilted homes carefully.
Gun Safe Moving
Gun safes of all sizes moved into and out of homes, garages and condos. We protect floors, plan around steps and thresholds, and place the safe exactly where you want it in your new home or garage.
Hot Tub Moving
Hot tubs moved from decks, patios and backyards to a new home, a new spot on the property or into storage. The tub should be drained and electrically disconnected by a qualified person before we arrive.
Other Heavy Items
Large appliances, electronics and oversized furniture can often be handled too. Appliances must be disconnected beforehand. Call and describe the item so we can send the right crew and equipment. We will tell you honestly if it is a job we can handle.
Grand Strand Piano, Safe & Hot Tub Moving FAQs
It depends on the item’s size and weight, the number of steps, the distance of the carry and whether it is part of a larger move. Call the office and an owner or our team calls back within 15 minutes, 8am to 8pm, with a quote after hearing the details. A $100 deposit at booking is applied to the move.
Yes. Many Grand Strand homes sit on pilings with a full exterior staircase. We look at the stairs, landings and railing first, bring enough crew for the carry, and move the piano one controlled step at a time rather than rushing it.
Drain it fully and have the power disconnected by a qualified electrician before moving day. Let us know how the tub is accessed, whether it is on a raised deck, behind a fence or next to landscaping, so we can plan the route and crew.
Often, yes. Condo buildings have elevator weight limits and move rules, so check with your HOA and share the safe’s size and weight with us. We will plan the move around the building’s requirements and provide a free certificate of insurance if needed.
Yes. If your new home is not ready, we can hold these items in our secure storage and deliver when you are ready for them. Storage is available short term or long term, with pickup and delivery handled by our own crews.
