Best Parkland Estates, FL Moving Company

Parkland Estates is a South Tampa neighborhood in the City of Tampa, just west of the SoHo strip on South Howard Avenue. It runs from Swann Avenue south to Morrison Avenue, between Howard Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, in ZIP 33609. Hyde Park and Bayshore Boulevard are only a few minutes away, and our Tampa crew knows these blocks well. Bern’s Steak House, one of the best-known restaurants in Tampa, is on Howard Avenue right next to the neighborhood.

The neighborhood was laid out by developer Allen J. Simms, and it is mostly homes on tree-lined city lots. You will see older one-story houses, two-story homes, townhomes, and new builds that replaced smaller houses. Older homes can have narrow doors and small hallways, so we pad frames, protect floors, and take apart beds and tables when a piece will not fit. Townhomes often mean stairs on every trip, and we plan the crew for that. Mitchell Elementary, Wilson Middle and Plant High School serve these streets.

Parking takes some thought here. SoHo is one of the busiest restaurant and nightlife areas in Tampa, and on weekends cars fill the side streets near Howard Avenue. Swann Avenue and Armenia Avenue also carry a lot of traffic. We check your street before the move, pick a spot that keeps driveways clear, and plan a weekday morning start when we can, since the side streets are much calmer then. If your building or HOA has rules about trucks or move hours, just tell us and we will follow them.

Tampa weather is always part of the plan. Summer means heat and fast afternoon storms, so we start early, wrap furniture, and keep boxes covered on the walk to the truck. Hurricane season runs June through November, and we will call you if a storm changes the schedule. We also offer packing and unpacking, which helps a lot if you are working while you move. Moving into a smaller place? We can move only the pieces you are keeping.

We serve all of South Tampa, including nearby Hyde Park and Palma Ceia. Moving a short way or out of state, we will treat your home and your things with care. A & M Friendly Movers is family-owned since 2015. Our mission is simple: quality, professional service at a fair price. Home is where the heart is, and moving is where it starts. “Excellent experience! We have moved 11 times and once overseas and A&M is in the top two moves! They communicate well and there are no curveballs. Chris, Zack & “Ox” were hard working, courteous and professional. They moved us quickly and took great care with our property. When initially speaking with Matt, he realized I was a Veteran and he immediately offered a Veteran’s discount. I would highly recommend A&M Friendly Movers because they live their name!”

Moving in Parkland Estates: Local Tips From Our Crew

Parking, trash pickup, traffic and building rules can make or break moving day in Parkland Estates. Here’s what we plan around.

Check permit-parking zones

The nearby Courier City/Oscawana Permit Parking Only zone covers Kennedy Boulevard to Swann Avenue from Armenia to Fremont. Each address gets two PPO and two guest permits, and processing takes 3 to 5 business days.

Book city bulky pickup

This area is inside Tampa city limits, so the City collects furniture, mattresses and appliances. Call the Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811 to request special services.

Time your S.W.E.E.P. pile

City households in single-family homes or properties of four units or less get one prescheduled S.W.E.E.P. collection a year. Piles can go out no earlier than five days before your Sunday date and should stay under 10 cubic yards.

Use the city scale house

Tampa residents with an active residential solid waste account can drop furniture, mattresses and up to two appliances per visit at the McKay Bay Scale House at no additional charge. Bring a government ID and a utility bill showing the same name.

Use county hazardous-waste sites

Tampa residents can drop off household hazardous waste and electronics at Hillsborough County sites at no additional charge by bringing a state-issued photo ID with a Hillsborough County address.

What Shapes Your Parkland Estates Move Cost

No surprises. Here is exactly what goes into your quote, so you can plan with confidence.

Home Size

How many rooms and how much furniture. A condo and a four-bedroom house are very different jobs.

Distance

Across town, across Hillsborough County, or out of state. Local moves are hourly; long-distance moves are priced upfront.

Access

Weekend crowds near SoHo, busy Swann and Armenia avenues, tight street parking and townhome stairs are what most affect move time here.

Add-Ons

Packing, storage, furniture assembly, and heavy items like pianos and safes.
