Take big items to Southport
Brunswick County doesn’t collect large items with regular trash. The county convenience center at 8392 River Road SE in Southport is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Yard debris by Wednesday
Have yard debris out by Wednesday evening, since the contractor starts pickup Thursday morning. Debris that doesn’t meet town guidelines gets an orange flag explaining the issue.
Set up utilities early
Electricity comes from Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation and water from Brunswick County Public Utilities. Wastewater is handled by the county or, in the Players Club area, the Southeast Brunswick Sanitary District.
