Best Little River, SC Moving Company
Little River is one of the oldest communities on the Grand Strand, sitting on the Intracoastal Waterway right at the North Carolina line. It is about 24 miles from downtown Myrtle Beach and only minutes from our Calabash crew, so we are here constantly. The waterfront, fishing fleet, and Blue Crab Festival give it a real small-town coastal feel.
Homes in Little River include waterfront properties with docks and long walkways, golf communities with HOA rules, newer subdivisions off SC-90 and SC-57, and condos near the water. We plan truck access, parking, and timing around each one. US-17 traffic between Little River and North Myrtle Beach can be heavy in summer, so we schedule early arrivals whenever possible.
Many families here are moving across the state line to or from Calabash, Carolina Shores, and Sunset Beach. We handle those NC-to-SC moves every week with clear, upfront pricing.
Residents here enjoy fishing charters, waterfront dining along the Intracoastal, and easy access to both Calabash seafood and North Myrtle Beach shopping. It is a place where the pace is slower and neighbors wave. We are proud to be part of this community and to help new families settle into it.
From Little River we also serve North Myrtle Beach, Longs, and Carolina Shores. Family-owned since 2015, A & M Friendly Movers is Carolina Strong. Our mission is simple: quality, professional service at a fair price. Home is where the heart is, and moving is where it starts. Call 910-758-0081 for a free quote.

“Excellent experience! We have moved 11 times and once overseas and A&M is in the top two moves! They communicate well and there are no curveballs. Chris, Zack & “Ox” were hard working, courteous and professional. They moved us quickly and took great care with our property. When initially speaking with Matt, he realized I was a Veteran and he immediately offered a Veteran’s discount. I would highly recommend A&M Friendly Movers because they live their name!”

“These guys were AWESOME. The ‘800PackRat’ people delivered my pod 11 days late I had to reschedule A&M 4 times!!! They showed up on time Mike and Chris were great. They took their time, unloaded everything carefully, arranged bins, and boxes in our garage for us. Moved heavy items into the kitchen and into the house. They set up our hutch in the dining room. They even stopped to play with her two golden retrievers for a minute. If you need movers if you need help, I cannot recommend these guys more highly.”

Moving in Little River: Local Tips From Our Crew
Parking, trash pickup, traffic and building rules can make or break moving day in Little River. Here’s what we plan around.
Check your town line
Little River is unincorporated Horry County, not part of North Myrtle Beach. If your home is inside a city’s limits, follow that city’s trash rules. The county centers are only for unincorporated residents.
Highway 90 drop-off center
The county’s North Myrtle Beach center is at 11145 Hwy 90 in Little River, across from North Myrtle Beach Middle School. It’s open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, but it is closed Wednesdays.
Brooksville center option
The Brooksville center at 2493 Hwy 111 is closed Tuesdays and Thursdays, so check the day before you haul. Each resident can drop off up to 4 cubic yards a day.
Mind May's festival
Little River hosts its annual Blue Crab Festival every May, so book around festival weekend if you can.
Plan around holiday closures
All Horry County recycling and convenience centers close on New Year’s Day, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What Shapes Your Little River Move Cost
No surprises. Here is exactly what goes into your quote, so you can plan with confidence.
Home Size
How many rooms and how much furniture. A condo and a four-bedroom house are very different jobs.
Distance
Across town, across Horry County, or out of state. Local moves are hourly; long-distance moves are priced upfront.
Access
Highway 17 through Little River is busy in summer, gated golf communities often need gate passes and set moving hours, and some waterfront streets are narrow.
Add-Ons
Packing, storage, furniture assembly, and heavy items like pianos and safes.
