Belair Road and Central Perry Hall

The older core of Perry Hall grew up along Belair Road, which colonial-era maps labeled “Perry Hall Road” or “Gough’s Road” after the estate. Homes here are mostly established single-family houses on side streets off Belair Road, close to the Perry Hall library, shopping centers and restaurants. This area works well for buyers who want quick access to everyday errands and to I-695.

Germantown (North Perry Hall)

Germantown, also called North Perry Hall, was a separate community centered on the intersection of Belair Road and Forge Road. It is now part of Perry Hall. It fits people who like Perry Hall’s schools and parks but want to be on the north side of town, a little farther from the Beltway traffic.

Moving to Perry Hall: Tips From Our Crew

  • Check HOA rules in newer communities. Many of the Honeygo-area townhome and single-family communities have homeowners associations. Some limit where a moving truck can park or how long it can stay. Read the rules before moving day so there are no surprises.
  • Avoid Belair Road at rush hour. Belair Road is Perry Hall’s main artery and gets busy with commuters and school traffic. A mid-morning start on a weekday usually goes smoothest.
  • Townhomes mean stairs. Newer townhomes in Perry Hall often have three levels with the main bedrooms on top. Tell us about stairs when you call so we send the right crew size and plan how big pieces come down.
  • Time it around the school year. Perry Hall is a family town, so late June through August is the busiest season for moves. If you need a summer date, book as early as you can.
  • Coming from Pennsylvania? It’s interstate. A move from York County down I-83 to Perry Hall crosses state lines. Use a mover registered for interstate work.
  • Plan a snow backup date. Snow is possible from late November through late March. For a winter move, set a backup day. We never charge a rescheduling fee.

Frequently Asked Questions About Moving to Perry Hall

How much do movers cost in Perry Hall, MD?

Every move is priced on the details: how much you have, stairs, packing, distance and the date. A townhome move within Perry Hall is priced very differently from a family home coming from Pennsylvania. Call 717-844-5125 for a free quote, and an owner will call you back within 15 minutes between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. You can also see what we do on our Perry Hall moving page.

Is Perry Hall the same as Nottingham or White Marsh?

Not exactly. Perry Hall is its own census-designated place, but its ZIP codes (21128, 21234 and 21236) are shared with nearby areas, and some businesses on Belair Road use a Nottingham mailing address. Honeygo, in Perry Hall’s northeast, became a separate census area in 2020.

Is Perry Hall a good place for families?

Many families think so. About 31.6% of households had children under 18 at the 2020 Census, most homes are owner-occupied, and the area has large county parks like Honeygo Run Regional Park and Perry Hall Park. Visit the schools and neighborhoods yourself to see what fits.

How far is Perry Hall from Baltimore?

Distance-Cities lists Baltimore as 12 miles from Perry Hall, about 25 minutes by car via Belair Road (US 1). I-695 and I-95 are also close for trips downtown or to BWI.

Can you store our things if our new house isn’t ready?

Yes. We offer storage between homes, which is common when a Honeygo-area new build closes later than expected. We can also pack, move and unpack for you.
