Honeygo is one of the newest communities in Baltimore County. It sits in the county’s northeast, between Perry Hall and White Marsh, on land that was mostly farms and woods until the county adopted the Honeygo Plan in 1994 to guide growth in Perry Hall’s rural northeast. The result is a planned area of newer single-family homes and townhouses along Honeygo Boulevard, with a 206-acre regional park in the middle and White Marsh’s shopping a few minutes away. It was counted as its own census-designated place for the first time in 2020.
Honeygo suits families. Four in ten households have children, most homes are owner-occupied, and the schools, ball fields and playgrounds are close by. It also works well for commuters who want quick access to I-95 and Belair Road. Homes cost more than in older parts of Perry Hall, and the newer neighborhoods often come with homeowners association rules worth reading before moving day.

Where Is Honeygo?
Honeygo is in eastern Baltimore County, Maryland, northeast of Baltimore City. Like every community in Baltimore County, it is unincorporated; the county has no incorporated cities or towns, so place names like Honeygo, Perry Hall and White Marsh describe communities rather than local governments. Honeygo sits between Perry Hall to the west and White Marsh to the south, with Gunpowder Falls State Park a short drive north.
Roads you will use:
- Honeygo Boulevard is the community’s main road, running past Honeygo Run Regional Park and the Honeygo Village Center shopping area down toward White Marsh.
- Belair Road (U.S. 1) runs through Perry Hall just west of Honeygo, with shopping, restaurants and a direct route toward Baltimore City to the southwest and Harford County to the northeast.
- White Marsh Boulevard (MD 43) and Interstate 95 are a short drive south at White Marsh, connecting to Baltimore, Delaware and the rest of the East Coast.
- Interstate 695, the Baltimore Beltway, is reachable via Belair Road or I-95 for trips to Towson and the rest of the county.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is the region’s main commercial airport. Many Honeygo addresses, including Honeygo Elementary and Honeygo Run Regional Park, use Perry Hall and ZIP code 21128.

Is Honeygo Safe?
Honeygo is policed by the Baltimore County Police Department. Contact the department with questions about a specific street, and visit the neighborhood on a weeknight and a weekend before you buy.
Cost of Living in Honeygo
Home Prices

Best Neighborhoods in Honeygo
Along Honeygo Boulevard
The heart of Honeygo is the string of newer subdivisions along Honeygo Boulevard, built under the Honeygo Plan. You will find single-family homes, townhouses and newer construction on curving streets, with Honeygo Run Regional Park and the Honeygo Village Center close by. It suits families who want a newer house, sidewalks and playgrounds. Many of these communities have homeowners associations, so read the rules on parking, trash and moving trucks before you close.
Perry Hall’s Established Neighborhoods
West of Honeygo, the older parts of Perry Hall along Belair Road and Joppa Road offer ranchers, split-levels and colonials from earlier decades, usually at lower prices than the newest Honeygo homes. You get mature trees, more shopping and restaurants within a short drive, and the same general school area. It is a good fit for first-time buyers and anyone who prefers an established street over new construction.
Toward White Marsh
South of Honeygo, White Marsh was planned as a town center with a regional mall at its core, and it now has about 2,400 homes in the town center plus office and research space. White Marsh had 10,287 residents at the 2020 Census. Townhomes and apartments near White Marsh Mall and The Avenue suit people who want to be close to shopping, restaurants and I-95, and they give renters more choices than Honeygo proper.

Moving to Honeygo: Tips From Our Crew
- Read the HOA rules first. Many Honeygo communities have homeowners associations with rules about moving trucks, street parking, move hours or where a portable storage container can sit. Ask your HOA or property manager before move day, and tell us what they require.
- Plan truck parking on townhouse streets. Townhouse rows often have assigned spaces and tight turnarounds. Let your neighbors know your move date, and ask them to leave space in front of your unit if they can.
- Time the drive around Belair Road and White Marsh. Belair Road and the roads around White Marsh Mall and I-95 get busy at rush hour and on weekends. We plan routes and start times to avoid the worst of it.
- Protect new floors and fresh paint. A lot of Honeygo homes are newer construction. We pad banisters and door frames and protect floors, but tell us about anything brand new or delicate before we start.
- Schedule around the school calendar. Summer is the busiest time for family moves in school-focused neighborhoods. Book early if you want to be settled before the first day of school.
- Buying in a competitive market? Homes here can go under contract in days, which leaves little time between offer and closing. Our storage service can bridge the gap if your sale and purchase don’t line up.
Frequently Asked Questions About Moving to Honeygo
How much do movers cost in Honeygo, MD?
It depends on the size of your home, how far you are going, stairs and parking, and if you want packing. Moving a townhouse across Perry Hall is priced very differently from a long-distance move into a four-bedroom single-family home. Call our York PA & Maryland team for a free quote; an owner calls you back within 15 minutes between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Is Honeygo part of Perry Hall?
Honeygo grew out of the Honeygo Plan for Perry Hall’s rural northeast, and most Honeygo homes use a Perry Hall mailing address and ZIP code 21128. Since 2020, the Census Bureau has counted Honeygo as its own census-designated place, separate from the Perry Hall CDP. Neither is an incorporated town; both are governed by Baltimore County.
Is Honeygo a good place to live?
For families, it has a lot going for it: newer homes, a 206-acre regional park, a high homeownership rate and quick access to shopping in White Marsh. The trade-offs are higher prices than older parts of Perry Hall, a competitive market and HOA rules in many neighborhoods.
How competitive is the Honeygo housing market?
Very. Redfin rated the 21128 ZIP code “very competitive” for the three months ending June 2026, with homes typically selling about 2% over list price and hot homes going pending in about nine days. Have your financing and your moving plan ready before you start making offers.
Do you handle long-distance moves to Honeygo?
Yes. For long-distance moves we provide a binding estimate, so your price never changes after you book. You get a dedicated truck, the same W-2 crew door to door, and a guaranteed delivery date. Military families get 5% off.
