Moving to North Bon Air, Tampa FL: Living in North Bon Air Guide

North Bon Air is a small residential neighborhood in west-central Tampa, tucked into the block of streets between Dale Mabry Highway, Kennedy Boulevard and I-275. It sits right next to the Westshore business district, which means you can live on a street of single-family homes and still be minutes from two big shopping malls, thousands of office jobs, Raymond James Stadium and Tampa International Airport.

It suits people who work in Westshore or downtown and want a short commute, frequent flyers who like being close to the airport, Bucs fans, and buyers who want a house in the city without paying the prices of the South Tampa neighborhoods farther south. Because it is so small, this guide uses ZIP code and citywide data where the neighborhood has none, and says so each time.

Moving to North Bon Air: Tips From Our Crew

  • Check the Bucs schedule. On home game days, Dale Mabry Highway and the streets around Raymond James Stadium fill with traffic. Pick a different day for your move, or at least a morning well before kickoff.
  • Plan around Kennedy, Dale Mabry and I-275 at rush hour. All three boundaries of the neighborhood are among Tampa’s busiest roads. Midday loads and weekend mornings usually go smoother.
  • Reserve the elevator in Westshore buildings. Apartment and condo buildings typically require a reserved freight elevator, set move-in hours and a certificate of insurance. Send us the requirements at least a week ahead; the COI is free.
  • Tell us about construction on your street. If a neighbor is building or renovating, dumpsters and work trucks can take up curb space. Let us know so we can plan where our truck will park.
  • Know your evacuation zone. Hillsborough County changed many zones for 2026. Between June and November, keep papers and medications with you, not on the truck, and have a backup date in mind.
  • Beat the heat. July and August highs average 91°F with afternoon storms. Our crews like early starts, and so will your furniture.
