PRICING GUIDE
Hourly vs. Binding Pricing
Movers quote in two main ways: by the hour, or with one fixed price. Knowing the difference is the easiest way to compare quotes fairly and avoid surprises on moving day.
How Hourly Pricing Works
With hourly pricing you pay for the time the crew works. It is how we bill every local move and every service we offer except long-distance moving.
- Your rate depends on crew size and location, and you get it in writing up front.
- Our clock starts when we arrive and stops when we finish at your final destination.
- We bill in 15-minute increments, never rounded up to the next hour.
- There is a 3-hour minimum.
Local hourly rates
| Crew | Trucks | Local Hourly Rate |
|---|---|---|
| 2 movers | 1 truck | $150 per hour |
| 3 movers | 1 truck | $225 per hour |
| 4 movers | 2 trucks | $300 per hour |
| 5 movers | 2 trucks | $375 per hour |
Hourly pricing rewards a prepared move. The faster the crew can work, the less you pay.
How Binding Pricing Works
A binding estimate is one flat price for the whole job. Once you book, it does not change, even if you add a few items. This is how we price every long-distance move.
That means no guessing at the weight of your shipment, and no surprise at delivery. You also get your own truck, the same crew door to door, and a guaranteed delivery date.
Hourly vs. Binding: Side by Side
| Hourly | Binding | |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay for | Time the crew works | One flat price |
| Best for | Local moves, apartments, small jobs, in-home moves | Long-distance moves |
| Can the total change? | Yes, with how long the work takes | No, not after booking |
| How to control cost | Pack ahead, clear paths, reserve parking and elevators | Share a complete list of what is moving |
| How we use it | Local moves and all hourly services | Long-distance moves |

Questions to Ask Any Mover About Their Quote
- Is this price binding, or an estimate that can change?
- When does your clock start, and do you charge for travel to my home?
- Do you bill in increments, or round up to the full hour?
- Is there a minimum, and what is it?
- What is included, and what is extra?
- Is the crew your own employees?
Our answers: the clock starts on arrival, we bill in 15-minute increments, the minimum is 3 hours, and your crew is licensed, insured, background-checked W-2 employees. No day laborers or subcontractors.
Hourly vs. Binding FAQs
Our local rates are $150 per hour for 2 movers and a truck, $225 per hour for 3 movers and a truck, $300 per hour for 4 movers and 2 trucks, and $375 per hour for 5 movers and 2 trucks. Your exact rate is confirmed in writing with your free quote.
A binding estimate is a flat price that will not change after you book. We give one on every long-distance move.
Not when you know your crew size and typical move time. We give you your hourly rate in writing, and our average move times show the hours most homes take.
So you pay for the time we actually work instead of being rounded up to the next full hour.
Three hours. Small jobs still get a full, careful crew.
