Some furniture simply will not fit through a doorway in one piece. Bed frames, cribs, dining tables, sectionals, and large desks usually need to come apart before they move, and then someone has to put them back together. Doing it yourself means lost hardware, stripped screws, and a bed frame that wobbles for years.
At A & M Friendly Movers, furniture disassembly and reassembly is part of how we move. Our crews are background-checked, drug-tested W-2 employees who take apart large pieces carefully, bag and label the hardware, and wrap every part before it goes on the truck. At your new home, they reassemble each piece in the room where you want it, so you can sleep in your own bed the first night.

After a long moving day, nobody wants to sleep on a mattress on the floor. We reassemble beds and cribs at your new home and set them in the rooms you choose. Tell us which pieces matter most, and we will plan the day around getting those up first.
Straight Answers on Price
Disassembly and reassembly are included at no additional cost when you move with us. Standalone jobs are billed hourly in 15-minute increments with a 3-hour minimum, and the clock starts when we arrive at your home. No surprises, and no rescheduling fee if your date changes.
An Owner Stands Behind It
Our Owner’s Promise means you talk to an owner, not a call center. If anything is damaged, an owner calls you the same day, and claims are resolved in 60 to 90 days. A & M Friendly Movers is family-owned and fully insured. We would rather make it right than make excuses.
What Our Furniture Disassembly Service Includes
Beds and Cribs
Bed frames, headboards, bunk beds, and cribs are taken apart carefully, with hardware bagged and labeled for each piece. At your new home, we reassemble them in the right rooms so your family has a place to sleep that first night.
Tables and Desks
Large dining tables and desks often need their legs, leaves, or tops removed to get through doorways and stairwells. We take them apart, wrap each part, and put them back together level and sturdy at your new place.
Sectionals and Large Pieces
Sectionals, oversized sofas, and other bulky pieces can often be separated to make them easier to carry and safer to transport. We handle the separation, protect each section, and reconnect everything once it is in the room.
During a Move or On Its Own
Every move with us includes disassembly and reassembly at no additional cost. Not moving? We also take apart, put back together, and assemble brand-new furniture as a standalone job, billed hourly with a 3-hour minimum.

Our crews bag and label the hardware from each piece and keep it with that piece through the whole move. When we reassemble, the right hardware is on hand. If you still have the assembly instructions, set them aside for the crew, but they are not required.
Yes. We take furniture apart and put it back together on its own, no move required, including assembling brand-new furniture you bought online or in a store. We also offer home staging and furniture rearranging if you are shifting pieces between rooms or getting a home ready to sell.
Clear off dressers, desks, and tables, and strip the bedding from beds and cribs. Empty drawers that are coming off or would be too heavy to carry. Let us know about any pieces that have been hard to take apart before, so the crew comes prepared.
We take a $100 deposit when you book, applied to your move. Local and hourly jobs are paid at the end of the day. We accept credit and debit cards, personal checks, and certified checks, but not cash. There is never a rescheduling fee.
