How Our Pricing Works
Honest hourly pricing. You only pay for time we’re working for you.
Simple, Hourly Pricing
Every local move, and every service we offer except long-distance moving, is billed by the hour. Your rate depends on your crew size and your location, and we give it to you in writing before moving day. No surprises.
How the Clock Works
- The clock starts when we arrive at your home. Not when we leave our office. Plenty of movers charge you for the drive to your house. We don’t.
- The clock stops when we finish at your final destination, after your furniture is reassembled and in place.
- We bill in 15-minute increments, so you pay for the time we actually work, not rounded up to the next hour.
- 3-hour minimum. Small jobs still get a full, careful crew.
Included at No Extra Charge
- Taking apart and putting back together beds, tables and other furniture
- Wrapping and padding all of your furniture
- A licensed, insured, background-checked W-2 crew. No day laborers or subcontractors
- A certificate of insurance for your building, if you need one
- Free rescheduling, for any reason
Services Billed Hourly
- Local moves: houses, apartments and condos
- Loading and unloading help (you rent the truck, we do the heavy lifting)
- Packing and unpacking
- Moving furniture within your home, home staging and rearranging
- Furniture assembly and single-item moves
- Office and commercial moves
Box and supply orders are priced per item in our Box Shop.
Long-Distance Moves: One Price, Guaranteed
Long-distance moves are not billed hourly. You get a binding estimate, a flat price that will not change after booking, even if you add a few things. You get your own truck, the same crew from door to door, and a guaranteed delivery date. Payment is due after loading.
What Affects the Cost of a Local Move
- How much you’re moving. Home size and how full it is matter more than square footage.
- Access. Stairs, elevators, long walks from the door to the truck and tight parking all add time.
- Packing. Boxes packed, taped and labeled before we arrive make the biggest difference.
- Drive time between homes. The drive from your old home to your new one is part of the move.
- Specialty items. Pianos, safes, pool tables and hot tubs need extra hands and equipment.

Ways to Save
- Pack and label everything before moving day. Use our packing checklist.
- Reserve parking close to the door, and reserve the elevator if you have one.
- Empty dresser drawers of anything heavy or breakable.
- Ask about our 5% military discount.
- Referred by a past customer? Referral customers save $100 on a local move.
Deposit and Payment
A $100 deposit reserves your date and is applied to your move. Local moves are paid after the move is done. We accept credit cards, debit cards, personal checks and certified checks. We do not accept cash.
