Seffner is a small unincorporated community in Hillsborough County, about 13 miles east of Tampa between Interstate 4 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. It was first called Simmon’s Hammock and later took the name of Frederick Seffner, its first postmaster, after the post office opened in 1884. Our Tampa crew is a short drive away on I-4. By 1925 it had grown into the fourth-largest town in Hillsborough County, and today it is a quiet spot with easy access to Tampa, Brandon and Plant City.

Housing in Seffner is a real mix. Older single-story homes line the streets near US 92 and Kingsway Road, and a few neighborhoods sit near lakes like Lake Weeks. There are manufactured-home communities such as Plantation Oaks on North Kingsway Road, townhome and apartment communities near Parsons Avenue, and newer subdivisions on the edges of town. Some properties also have sheds, workshops or carports full of tools and yard gear, and we plan time for those too. Kingsway Road and Parsons Avenue are the main north-south routes through town, so we plan the drive around them.

Each kind of home needs its own plan. Manufactured homes often have narrow doors, tight hallways and steep entry steps, and many parks have rules about where a truck can park. Yards can turn soft after a summer rain, so we park on pavement when we can and protect your floors. Summer moves start early to stay ahead of the heat and the afternoon thunderstorms.
