Hills are the first thing we plan for here. Plenty of Akron homes sit up a steep driveway or a long set of front steps, and some streets are too narrow to park a big truck right out front. We look at the property ahead of time, pick the right truck size, and bring ramps, dollies, and extra hands when the walk from the door to the truck is long. We would rather spend ten extra minutes planning than rush a dresser down a slick hill.

Many houses in Firestone Park and Goodyear Heights were built for rubber workers about a century ago. They are solid homes, but they often have narrow stairways, small bedrooms upstairs, and basements with low ceilings. In Highland Square and near the University of Akron, you will find more apartments and older homes split into units, which means shared hallways and tight parking. Out in Ellet and West Akron, homes tend to be roomier, but finished basements, big sectionals, and backyard sheds still take time, so we ask about those when you call.
